a) Algar Seco Parque is responsible for the collection and treatment of personal data from its guests. The following data will be required from all guests in each accommodation unit: full name; address (street, postal code, city, country); telephone number; e-mail address; date of arrival and departure; type of accommodation and any other special requirements.


b) Concerning the right to Automated Decisions, we would like to inform that our website may create user profiles, through Google Analytics, based on user characteristics, preferences, browsing history and location. The obtained information helps us to optimize website content, navigation, layout and performance, in order to ensure a better service. We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service, operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies". These are text files that are stored on your computer and that allow an analysis of the use of the website by you. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. c) The visitor always has the choice to optimize his/her cookie preferences used on Algar Seco Parque´s website. Session cookies are stored temporarily and erased when the browser is closed. Permanent cookies will be stored on your device until they are deleted or until they reach their expiry date. Under no circumstance will we store cookie information that allows personal identification. You can object to cookies or manage them by accessing the settings of your browser and changing the configuration, usually under “Options”, “Preferences”, “Advanced” or “Help”. d) This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons. If you enter into a contract which requires you to send us your payment information, we will require this data to process your payment. Payment transactions are only made via external encrypted SSL or TLS connections through Redunicre.

 Our website contains a plugin for Instagram. This plugin is operated by Meta Platforms Inc., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA. If you are logged into your Instagram account, you can click the Instagram button to link the content of our pages with your Instagram profile. This means that Instagram can associate visits to our pages with your user account. As the provider of this website, we expressly point out that we receive no information on the content of the transmitted data or its use by Instagram.  This website uses the Google Maps map service via an API. It is operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. To use Google Maps, it is necessary to save your IP address. This information is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The provider of this site has no influence on this data transfer. The use of Google Maps is in the interest of making our website appealing and to facilitate the location of places specified by us on the website. f) Bookings made through this site are handled by the BookingButton web services. The parent company is When using BookingButton’s form or website their privacy policy applies:


g) The domains and are divided into 2 servers, an electronic mail server and file hosting, for the respective web pages.

 all the data referring to web hosting is hosted on the "Smart platform" of the Leonardo company. The Smart platform is hosted on Amazon CloudFront.

 all data relating to email is hosted in the Microsoft cloud called "Exchange online", which has redunancy and data retention for 30 days.

The local server does not have external access. To access this server you need a login and password. It is automatically performed a daily backup of data to external disk, with retention of 30 days.


h) We accept payments via  Redunicre. The provider of this service is Unicre, Av. António Augusto Aguiar 122, 1050-019 Lisboa, Portugal. If you select payment via Redunicre, the payment data you provide will be supplied to Redunicre. You have the option to revoke your consent at any time with future effect. It does not affect the processing of data previously collected.

i) For legal compliance with Portuguese Immigration and Borders Services (SEF), "Algar Seco Parque" is obliged to collect the following data from all guests who do not carry a Portuguese identification document: full name, place and country of residence, date and place of birth, passport and/or identity card number and the issuing country of the identification document;


j) As stipulated by law, you have the right to ask at any time for access to your data, as well as the right to correction if necessary. You have the right of objection, limitation of processing, treatment, or deletion of said data.


k) Any existing personal data in physical form (paper) will be retained by Algar Seco Parque for 1 year (actively) and 10 years (semi-actively), including invoicing data for fiscal compliance. Personal data in digital form will be retained permanently, either in the cloud or on external disk.


l) Paper documents are destroyed by shredding, digital documents by digital elimination. We use our own shredder with safety level P-4, in accordance with Protocol DIN 66399. The paper is cut into particles of 160mm².


m) Algar Seco Parque is committed to the confidentiality of your personal data. The technical and organizational measures taken will always comply with the regulation, guaranteeing that the data treatment is lawful, legitimate, transparent and limited to the legal purpose of the commercial relationship, which may include informing, assisting, advising and contacting the holder of the personal data in in regards to their stay at Algar Seco Parque for a personalized follow-up.


n) Algar Seco Parque takes adequate measures to assure the integrity of any data requested from its guests, as well as the privacy of the holders.

o) Personal data is handled internally, with different levels of access, by the members of the management and its administrative services.


p) Personal data is handled externally, with different levels of access, by the following subcontractors:

 "Leonardo Worldwide" – a subcontracted company to develop and maintain Algar Seco Parque’s website ( "Leonardo Worldwide" and its governing bodies have at no time access to or storage of any personal data of guests;

 Contas e Tostões” – accounting firm with access to invoicing data only;

 "Primavera" - business invoicing software;

 "Protel" – PMS, reservations management system;

 "Jorge Santos" – guest transport and transfers;

 "Travel Line" - guest transport and transfers;

 "Teleonda" – internet provider;

 "Dueto Final" - Bistro Algar Seco is the poolside restaurant at Algar Seco Parque. They have access to the following personal data: name of guest, accommodation name, dates of stay;

 "Algarve Ferienhaus" – reservation agency based in Germany;

 ZeroUm” - IT services and assistance. They may have, with prior authorization, (remote) access to all data contained in the computers.
