Monchique

Ideal for a day trip from Algar Seco Parque. Visit the springs in Caldas de Monchique, then drive all the way up to the top, to Foia. The view over the Algarve coast is spectacular on a clear day. End this perfect day with chicken piri-piri in one of the restaurants on the way.

Seven Hanging Valleys Trail

The Seven Hanging Valleys Trail is a rugged yet breathtaking hiking trail along the most scenic part of the Algarve coast. This spectacular scenic path runs betweem Praia da Marinha and Praia de Vale Centeanes, and is roughly 11.5km in length.

Witness the vast, turquoise seascape of the Atlantic Ocean, golden cliffs and sea stacks. Its natural beauty is guaranteed to be a memory of a lifetime.

A municipal park and great favourite with locals for picnics.

Surrounding a major spring, the park covers about 18 ha, overlooking the River Arade as it passes from Silves to the Atlantic. It has a restored watermill, a reconstructed Algarve house, an amphitheatre and a fitness path.
